Commercial Graffiti Removal
for Charleston Businesses
Downtown is the least forgiving place in the Lowcountry to take a tag off. Historic brick, soft lime mortar, painted storefronts and stucco all react differently, and the wrong approach leaves a bright patch or an opened brick face that is worse than the graffiti was. King Street, the Market and Upper King also mean pedestrians a few feet away while you work.

Commercial Graffiti Removal in Charleston: What Makes It Different Here
On King Street and around East Bay you are usually dealing with masonry far older than anything modern, plus decades of paint layers over it. Removal has to be tested on a small area first, because aggressive work on soft historic brick can etch the face and leave a permanent shadow. Upper King's bar and restaurant block gets the other kind: marker tags and slap stickers on service doors, alley walls and painted bulkheads, most of it appearing overnight. Morrison Drive picks up larger pieces on warehouse walls. Sidewalks are narrow, so we contain runoff, cone the work area and start before your doors open. Fully insured, $2M general liability, COI on request.
- Test patch on hidden masonry first, because historic brick and lime mortar mark permanently.
- Upper King service doors and alley walls: marker tags and slap stickers cleared before opening.
- Narrow King Street sidewalk work with runoff contained and the pedestrian path kept clear.
Areas we cover in Charleston: King Street retail, Upper King hospitality, Market / East Bay, Morrison Drive, Downtown office core.

Charleston Commercial Graffiti Removal Questions
Will removing graffiti damage our historic brick or the mortar joints?
It should not, and that is the reason downtown work runs slower than anywhere else in the metro. We test in a hidden spot, start with the gentlest method that moves the tag, and step up only if the surface tolerates it. Soft old brick and lime mortar mark permanently, so on some walls partial removal plus a masonry-matched touch up is the honest answer.
Someone scratched into our storefront glass. Is that the same job?
Not quite. Paint, marker and adhesive residue on glass comes off cleanly. Scratches cut into the pane itself, and acid etching, are physical damage and belong with a glazier rather than a cleaner. We will tell you which one you have when we look at it, and handle the paint and film on the frames, bulkheads and sills either way.
